I was blown away at the end of last week to receive an email from the National Flash Fiction Day’s Flash Flood journal to tell me they have nominated my story They Say that if You Put a Shell to Your Ear You Can Hear the Sea for the 2022 Pushcart Prize. I checked several times once the announcement went up on their blog to make sure it was definitely my name and my story listed with the other five nominations, but it is definitely me, and I am thrilled to share the news with you all.
