About

My name is Katie Wood and I love books. My love of books first manifested itself when I was two and I memorised Eric Carle’s The Very Hungry Caterpillar, having demanded it be read to me so often.

As you can see, I write book reviews. I want to encourage as many people as possible to enjoy books, and to enjoy thinking and talking about books. I offer little snippets and taster to get people reading, thinking and talking.

As a writer, I write many things. I include snippets of such projects on this website, as well as a personal blog, which I hope you will enjoy.

I am available for freelance writing work, please don’t hesitate to contact me if you are interested in anything at all.

I have a BA (hons) in English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of East Anglia (UEA).

I am currently the Editorial Assistant at Knitting magazine and Assistant Editor at Making Jewellery magazine

My first book was published in 2009, Girls for God: Soul Perspectives by BRF: http://www.brfonline.org.uk/9780857460707/
It is also available on Amazon: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Girls-God-Perspectives-Katie-Wood/dp/1841016381/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1334592600&sr=8-1

I’m getting married on 23rd March 2013 to the wonderful man Stuart Holloway.

I would love to hear from you about what you think of my reviews, blog, writing, or anything else! Do please get in touch.

Many thanks – Katie

  1. Just remembered you have a new blogsite and have just updated my Tagged post – I’ve tagged both you and your book here at http://dragonscaleleggings.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/wednesday-words-tagged.html

Hi, I’ve just read your Girls For God book and loved it! There are certain aspects that I feel you are well experienced in (relationships) and would really love to be able to talk to you about them, is that possible?
